How I Would Book The 2025 Men’s Royal Rumble

Royal Rumble, 2025 Predictions - CM Punk, Roman Reigns, John Cena

As you all know, the Royal Rumble for the year 2025 is quickly approaching, and it is turning out to be one of the most stacked and unpredictable ever. So, I have decided to provide my input on how I would book the Men’s Royal Rumble, adding my creative input and ideas. Hence, without further ado, let’s get this show started!

Tonight is February 1st, 2025, and so far, the night has been a massive success with a roaring Indianapolis crowd. The card is incredibly stacked, to say the least, and you can be certain that there is an immense amount of “All Time Wrestling Classics” occurring at this PLE. Whether it be during the action-packed ⅔ Falls Match between the Motor City Machine Guns and #DIY or the Women’s Royal Rumble Match, you can be certain that you got far beyond your money’s worth just by watching or attending this PLE.

However, before the main event of Cody Rhodes Vs. Kevin Owens in a ladder match, it was time for the Men’s Royal Rumble, the match that many people are unsure who would win and become a number one contender for one of the Men’s World Championships, whether it be for the World Heavyweight or the Undisputed WWE Championships.

Up first, with the most energetic and charismatic entrance, we have the one-and-only, ‘Main Event’ Jey Uso, coming out from the roaring crowd. Throughout the year, Jey Uso has been considered to be a number one contender for winning the Rumble, but time will soon tell if that will be the case. However, to quickly ruin the mood, you have the ‘Maverick’ Logan Paul, coming out to a chorus of boos and negativity.

As soon as Logan enters the ring, Jey Uso quickly adds on to his offense, much to the satisfaction of the crowd. Jey hits a strong left-hook to Logan, but Logan quickly reverses and taunt’s Jey with a YEET gesture, by moving his hands up and down, causing the crowd to shower him with boo’s once again, something Logan is very much used to. Logan then decides to put Jey down with a strong shoulder tackle, proceeding to hit him with stiff kicks to the midsection in the process. Soaking in the boos, Logan proceeds to walk around the ring, seemingly waiting for the next opponent to enter, and to the surprise of many, he drinks a Prime in the process.

Entering at number 3, much to Logan’s delight, is none other than the wicked son, ‘Dirty’ Dominik Mysterio. As per usual, he also comes out to a chorus of boos, and it is looking like a rough night for Jey Uso, thus far.

Together they both lead the attack on Jey, who is already down and incredibly winded. They both try to eliminate Jey, much to the dismay of the crowd. However, Jey reverses and lands on the edge of the apron, and proceeds to punch Dominik and kick Logan in the face.

While his opponents are down, Jey manages to enter the ring once again. Taking advantage of the opportunity while his opponents are down, Jey sits on the turnbuckle on the corner of the ring, trying to gain his breath.

Once his breath returns, Jey continues the beat down of Dominik, much to the pleasure of the crowd. He then superkicks Logan Paul, who is conveniently beside Dominik. Although it is risky, Jey climbs to the top of the ropes and lands a frog splash on both Dom and Logan.

While all three opponents are in the ring, both winded and in pain, entrant number four comes out. Instead of being a foe to Jey Uso, an ally to the Bloodline and Jey comes out, and that is none other than his own twin, Jimmy Uso.

When Jimmy enters the ring, he picks a wounded Jey from the mat and leans in for a hug, especially because they were separated across the two brands for a few months following their win at Wargames. Jey gives his brother a hug back, but it is not for long, as this is a Royal Rumble after all. This is the case as the twins were interrupted by a blow to the back of their neck by both Logan and Dominik, respectively.

Taking advantage of the opportunity, Logan climbs to the top rope to do his own unique twist on a frog splash on top of both Jimmy and Jey.

Coming up next, is the father of the disgraced son, and that is the WWE Hall Of Famer, Rey Mysterio.

Rey comes storming down the ring, with a mission on his mind, taking down his son and winning the Royal Rumble.

Rey enters the ring and immediately starts to aim for his son. They are throwing punches back and forth, but as Rey tries to throw Dominik over the top rope, he quickly reverses by kicking the midsection of Rey, picking him up, and throwing him over the top rope, making The Legendary Hall Of Famer the first elimination.

Following Rey Mysterio’s ill-timed elimination, the next entrant comes out, and he sure does change the entire landscape of the match moving forward. This is because entrant number six is none other than ‘The Scottish Warrior’ Drew McIntyre.

When Drew McIntyre enters the ring, he completely disregards the 2 heels, and instead aims for The Bloodline.

While Drew continues the onslaught of Jey and Jimmy, Logan and Dominik just embrace it, spending their quiet time in the corner of the ring.

While both Jey and Jimmy are down, Drew takes the opportunity to eliminate Jimmy. Jey did try to prevent Jimmy’s elimination, but Drew hits him with a Glasgow Kiss to prevent him from effectively doing so.

At entrant seven comes out the ‘Revolutionary’ Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins. Unlike the others, Seth doesn’t run to the ring, but instead, he soaks in the fans singing his song. In fact, by the time he gets in the ring, aiming for Logan and Dominik, it was time for the next entrant.

Up next, was the WWE United States Champion, who had something different about him compared to previous years as a Royal Rumble participant.

When Shinsuke Nakamura entered the ring, he went for Dominik Mysterio. Although Seth was already fighting Dominik, he just shrugged his shoulders and continued beating up Logan.

At entrant nine, came out Chad Gable, with ‘You Suck’ chants echoing across the arena when he made his way to the ring. Considering there were no luchadores, Chad took it upon himself to go against Nakamura, because he was quite frankly, beating the opposite of a luchadore.

When Chad Gable tried to approach Nakamura, Nakamura sprayed him with the ‘Black Mist’, temporarily blinding Chad Gable.

When that happened, Chad rolled out of the ring.

At entrant number ten, the dogs in the audience came out, as the Intercontinental Champion, Bron Breakker made his entrance.

Bron ran to the ring and started to attack Seth. Seth was shocked, but he knew Bron was trying to make a name for himself. Bron and Seth engaged in a back-and-forth brawl, with no clear winner in sight.

However, as Drew continued his beat down in the corner of Jey, another Scotsman, and first surprise of the night came out to the ring.

“Say his name and he appears.”

Much to the delight of the crowd, after being away from the WWE Universe since September, making his debut on the WWE Main Roster was the New TNA Champion, Joe Hendry.

As Joe made his way to the ring, the crowd waved their hands from side-to-side.

When Joe finally entered the crowd, he tried to soak in this moment, but was rudely interrupted by Logan Paul, who started to attack Joe. However, before Logan could land another punch, Joe quickly reversed the punch and threw him over the top rope, eliminating Logan.

The crowd was celebrating, but their ovation only increased when Drew tossed a bloodied Jey to the side and started to walk towards Joe.

In the midst of the chaos around them, Joe and Drew engaged in a brutal staredown. But, this was not for long, as the two eventually started throwing punches at each other.

At entrant twelve comes out a real luchadore, who recently debuted in the WWE, and that was none other than Penta.

When Penta enters the ring, he immediately goes for Chad Gable, who just came back up after hearing Penta’s music. They are both throwing punches and kicks toward each other, but before Penta could hit his finishing move on Chad, Chad hits Penta with a German Suplex, knocking him out for the time being.

Up next, is the one and only, LA Knight. As he slides into the ring, LA Knight goes to attack Dominik. LA Knight throws a strong left punch to Dominik, then hits Dom with a BFT,  eliminating him in the process.

Much to the delight of the crowd, Dominik is finally gone. But, as he attempts to head to the back, it’s time for Carmelo Hayes to come out.

Once Carmelo enters the ring, he goes for LA Knight. They both engage in punches and kicks, however, Chad Gable intervenes and chooses to hit LA Knight with a German Sooplex.

While Carmelo Hayes is laughing, Nakamura turns to Carmelo and hits him with a strong kick over the top rope, eliminating Carmelo.

While Joe Hendry tries to approach Nakamura, Drew McIntyre approaches and eliminates Joe, much to the displeasure of the crowd.

Drew taunts Joe and tells him there is only room for one Scotsman in the WWE and to go back to TNA. However, once a battered and bruised Jey manages to recuperate his energy, he aims for a distracted Drew McIntyre and hits him with a Superkick, eliminating a strong favourite to win the match.

Drew has fires in his eyes, he couldn’t believe he was eliminated by his bitter enemy. As he tries to enter the ring again out of anger, he is prevented by the referees around the ring. However, he hits Charles Robinson with a Glasgow Kiss and enters the ring once more, hitting a Claymore on a distracted Jey and eliminating Jey as well, something that was not well received by the audience.

Knowing that his elimination was beyond his control, Jey immediately goes for Drew McIntyre and they continue to throw punches at each other all the way to Gorilla.

This leads to entrant number fifteen, and that is none other than the ‘Celtic Warrior’ Sheamus. As he walks his way down to the ring, Sheamus looks like he just saw a ghost, probably due to the intensity of the brawl between Drew and Jey.

When Sheamus enters the ring, he immediately goes for Chad Gable. They immediately start throwing punches at each other and the crowd loves it.

When Chad is done, Sheamus tries to hit a Brogue Kick, but Chad dodges it and instead hooks Sheamus’ leg for an Ankle Lock. Of course, there are no tap outs in the Royal Rumble, and Chad just locked it in for as long as he wanted too.

When Chad let go, Sheamus rolled to the side of the ring in immense pain. Chad embraced the boo’s and limited profanities from the crowd. But, it couldn’t be for long, as a now energized Penta threw Chad over the top rope.

As entrant number sixteen was the former ‘El Campeon’ Damian Priest, and as he made his way down the ring, you can hear an angry Chad Gable planning for revenge on Penta.

When Damian entered the ring, he went face to face with Penta. This alone made the crowd go berserk. But, of course, the stare down wasn’t for long as Damian made an immediate impact and had a barrage of strikes prepared for Penta. Penta did the same, and together they were fighting in the middle of the ring.

Damian gets close to eliminating Penta, but Penta reverses and hits Damian with a skull-crushing kick. Penta enters the ring and hits a beaten Damian with a Fear Factor.

Damian rolls to the side, but as Penta celebrates, LA Knight grabs Penta to throw him over the top rope.

Coming at entrant number seventeen and is certainly a game changer for the match, is the man trying to win his 17th world title, and that is none other than John Cena.

Once Cena’s music hits, you can barely hear yourself think because the entire crowd are all on their feet giving Cena a standing ovation.

You can hear Cena say, “Let’s go to work Stu, it is time to win the big one!”

Cena runs down to the ring and throws his signature red hat to the crowd while doing so. When Cena enters the ring, he looks around the ring to analyze who his competitors are.

But, walking up to Cena is none other than Bron Breakker, and you can hear ‘Holy Sh**t’ chants in the process. Cena for the last time is going to try to win the Royal Rumble, but in his way is the Intercontinental Champion, and as per usual, Cena doesn’t back down.

Cena hits his ‘You Can’t See Me’ taunt in front of Breakker, but Breakker interjects and punches John in the face. John is shocked, but isn’t surprised. John and Breakker then engage by throwing punches at each other.

At entrant number eighteen is Finn Balor, and as he enters the ring, he goes for his former Judgement Day ally, Damian Priest.

In the corner of the ring, LA Knight manages to eliminate Nakamura in shocking fashion, but Nakamura stares down LA Knight as he walks to the back.

As Nakamura walks to the back, he encounters entrant number 19, and that is none other than the formal Tribal Chief, Solo Sikoa.

As Solo smugly walks down to the ring, the crowd boos him unmercifully.

When Solo enters the ring, he is immediately met by LA Knight. They both have a stare down, but before Knight could do anything, Solo hits him with a Samoan Spike, throwing a knocked out Knight over the top rope for the elimination.

But, it is the arrival of number twenty that not only reignites the crowd, but also causes an immense amount of emotions. This is because entrant number twenty is none other than the man who broke his neck less than three years ago, and that is Big E.

The crowd can’t believe it. We all thought he would never return. Big E walks down the aisle looking amazed and is shocked he would receive an ovation as loud as this.

When he enters the ring, he analyzes the opponents around him, when he is eventually met by John Cena. John Cena gives his buddy Big E a hug, as he is just as shocked as the audience around him. However, the reunion was not for long as entrant number twenty one came out, and it was none other than the man who kicked Big E out of the New Day, Kofi Kingston.

As Kofi Kingston walked his way down to the ring, you could barely hear yourself think as endless boos and profanities echoed across the stadium.

John Cena walked away from Big E and told him to take care of business, and that was surely down. Both Big E and Kofi engaged in punches, and this is something that many people thought would never happen because the group always preached about the power of positivity.

However, once Kofi gained the upper hand, he took advantage of the situation and eliminated Big E, much to the dismay of the crowd. This was very shocking for many fans as Big E entered the ring not even four minutes ago.

However, Kofi could not celebrate for long as John Cena eliminated Kofi Kingston as he was celebrating Big E’s failure.

Up next, at entrant number twenty two is none other than the Second City Saint, CM Punk.

However, when Punk’s music hit, Seth moved away from fighting Damian Priest and walked to the front of the ring, ready to target Punk.

Of course, Punk noticed this and still ran to the ring anyway. Once Punk entered the ring, Punk and Seth engaged in an all out brawl, causing chaos to ensue all across the ring.

Very quickly, this match becomes every man for themselves because you can’t afford to be one track minded in a match like this.

But up next at entrant number twenty three is the man who has a lot on his mind, and that is none other than Sami Zayn.

Sami Zayn immediately targets Solo Sikoa, hitting him with a strong Helluva Kick in the corner. Solo falls down immediately and rolls out of the ring, disappearing for a while. Damian tries to take advantage of a distracted Sami, attempting to go for the elimination, but Sami dodges and throws Damian over the top rope instead.

At entrant twenty four, we have our first Superstar from NXT, and that is Trick Williams. Once his music hits, the crowd loses it. They chant “Whoop That Trick” at every beat drop and we can’t wait to see how he will fare in this type of match-up.

Surprised to see this reaction, Trick Williams goes for Finn Balor. Both incredibly talented athletes engage in a back-and-forth brawl, but Trick, being the fresher competitor, gains the upper hand over Finn and hits him with a Trick Kick over the top rope for the elimination.

Up next at entrant number twenty five is another member of the NXT Roster and is someone who knows Trick Williams very well, and that is Ethan Page.

Trick waits at the edge of the ring, waiting for Ethan as he smugly walks down the entrance ramp to the ring. However, once Ethan enters the ring, Trick tries to hit Ethan with the Trick Kick, but Ethan reverses and hits Trick with a strong punch to the back of the neck. Trick is down, but Ethan approaches John Cena and hits Cena with a strong punch as well. But, as Cena typically does, he gets back up and kicks Ethan in the midsection.

In the midst of their brawl, entrant number twenty six comes out, and this time, it is a surprise entrant, someone who has been in the WWE before, but this time, it is with a different name and that is Matt Cardona. The crowd can’t believe their eyes, but Matt makes his way down to the ring.

Ethan, who managed to shockingly get the upper hand over Cena, approaches Matt, but Matt hits Ethan in the face and proceeds to do a Rough Ryder on Ethan. Matt then carries Ethan and throws him over the top rope for the elimination.

Matt Cardona then proceeds to walk toward a bruised John Cena, as the two haven’t approached each other in a very long time. John shakes Matt’s hand, but Matt shoves it to the side, opting for a hug instead. However, their moment was interrupted by Solo Sikoa, who hits John and Matt with a Samoan Spike. Both Matt and John are down, but Solo decides to pick up Matt and eliminate him.

In the midst of the chaos, an ally to Solo Sikoa and truly a game changer in the match comes out, and that is none other than the ‘Samoan Destroyer’ Jacob Fatu.

It’s a nightmare scenario, Fatu cuts loose in the match and it’s the worst possible person for everyone involved, except for Solo Sikoa.

Solo Sikoa gives his Enforcer a pat on the back and tells him to go for Cena, while Solo will go for Trick.

Jacob Fatu goes face-to-face with John Cena. But as usual, Cena doesn’t take a backwards step and he trades with Fatu. But, is that truly a good idea, because Fatu lights Cena with a vicious headbutt which busts Cena open.

Cena is down and the crowd is begging Cena to get back up. As Cena tries to climb up the ropes, with nothing left, it might be all in vain.

However, Solo Sikoa who has already eliminated Trick Williams via a Samoan Drop to the outside, approaches Cena who is laying on the rope and eliminates him. The crowd hates it and so does John Cena who is incredibly heartbroken.

Solo makes the most of the work already done by Fatu to eliminate Cena, and Fatu is clearly not happy about it.

As Cena makes his way to the back, he encounters entrant number twenty eight, and that is none other than the ‘OTC’ Roman Reigns, accompanied by Paul Heyman.

As Roman Reigns confidently makes his way down to the ring, both Solo and Jacob are ready for him.

Solo tells Roman, “You took everything from me. We were supposed to be a family, well I have a new family who actually respects me, and now, you are going to respect me. You’re going to learn that you will never see the end of this and-”

Before Solo could finish, Jacob Fatu does the imaginable and eliminates Solo, officially cementing himself as a singles competitor. Solo Sikoa, since losing the Ula Fala has lost all the respect from his family.

Now, Jacob Fatu has finally turned his back on Solo and The Bloodline, but in the meantime, Jacob has also turned his back on Roman, giving the opportunity for Roman to pull an upset and eliminate Jacob Fatu.

In the midst of the Bloodline drama, it’s time for entrant number twenty-nine, and that is none other than Bill Goldberg.

As Bill Goldberg makes his way to the ring, we see Bron Breakker running through the ropes, gaining speed, and as soon as Goldberg enters, he is hit by a devastating spear by Bron.

This alone causes the ‘This Is Awesome!’ chants to echo across the stadium. As Goldberg manages to stand up, Bron picks him up and throws him over the top rope. The thought of Goldberg being eliminated so early is something that no one ever thought could ever be possible. But, this for sure will set up a future dream match down the line.

As Bron has his back turned, continuing to taunt Goldberg, CM Punk takes advantage of the opportunity and eliminates Bron.

But now, it was the time that many people were looking for, and it’s time for entrant number 30. Who holds the coveted spot is a question that many people have on their mind. But in a matter of seconds, that will be revealed.

3, 2, 1… “I hear voices in my head.”

When the crowd hears those lyrics surrounded by the ‘Viper’ Randy Orton, the crowd goes crazy. After almost three months of being away, Randy is finally back.

As he enters the ring, CM Punk is there waiting for him, ready to reunite with his friend. But, of course, this match is for every man for himself. So, when Randy enters the ring, he gives his friend a quick hug, but they eventually start hitting each other. When a fresher Randy manages to get the upper hand, he hits Punk with an RKO, knocking him out for the time being.

As Randy manages to taunt the crowd, Roman quickly approaches Randy and hits him with a devastating spear. Roman then picks up Randy and throws him out for the elimination.

Roman walks to Sami, and while they are both still friends, the question still remains if Sami will choose to start looking out for himself, as advised by Seth, Karrion Kross, and Kevin Owens.

Roman, however, chooses to put himself first, as per usual, but, before he could throw the first punch, Roman is thrown over the top rope over by his former brother, Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins.

But, before Sami could react, Seth, who is still taunting a shocked Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman, is eliminated by CM Punk.

And there you have it, the final two in the Royal Rumble, Sami Zayn and CM Punk.

They both stare each other down and point to the Wrestlemania sign, each saying that this is my time.

However, they then begin to throw strong punches at each other. Eventually, Punk gains the momentum, but as you can hear the crowd getting louder, you only wonder what will happen soon. But, you wouldn’t have to wait for long, as eventually, Kevin Owens runs into the ring and hits a package piledriver on Punk.

Sami Zayn is flabbergasted and does not know what to do. But given that Punk is positioned perfectly in the corner of the ring, Sami can’t help but hit Punk with a Helluva Kick.

Sami then throws CM Punk over the top rope to officially win the Royal Rumble match.

This moment for Sami is bittersweet as he isn’t sure what this will mean for him.

As Alicia Taylor announces, “Here is your winner of the 2025 Men’s Royal Rumble Match, Sami Zayn!”

Sami looks down to Kevin Owens who proudly says, “Remember, you owe me.” as he walks off with a smug look on his face.

As a disdained CM Punk looks on, Sami climbs the top rope and points to the Wrestlemania sign, but the question is, will Sami Zayn help his brother in the Main Event tonight? Well, only time will tell.
