Not only that, but she has to endure his not so happy family. Avery is just weeks away from becoming the richest teenager in the world, yet she’s nowhere close to figuring out the truth. The next book on the list is No Filter and Other Lies, written by Crystal Maldonado. This book focuses on social media and the impacts of lying through the platform. If you are interested in books about romance, social media and the real life impacts of it, then consider reading No Filter and Other Lies.

To summarize the book, it’s all about the followers, and that sense of accomplishment when you have tons of likes. Well that’s the case for 21 year old Max Monroe, an influencer with tons of followers on Instagram, beauty and the seemingly perfect life. However, it’s all a massive lie. Max Monroe is actually 16 year old Kat Sanchez whose life is far from “perfect.” However, after one viral post, her lie becomes all too true. She has to figure out how to get herself out of this mess so she doesn’t hurt the ones she loves.
